With the coming of spring weather (except for the last few days of cool and rain) a lot has been happening here at Longarm U! A little over a month ago I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus and took a few days off to recuperate! I am now mostly recovered and even walked for over a mile yesterday! It felt so good to be walking again. Maybe I will be ready for the Seattle Half Marathon in November!

Last month I showed you photos of my cinder block garden which I planted with Purple Potatoes. Below is an updated photo. The potatoes are going crazy! I had to put a little fence around the garden because my dog liked to run in the dirt!

Due to my knee surgery, I haven't be able to work in the garden as much as I wanted, but soon I'll be planting other veggies and flowers. When they are sprouting, I'll post some photos!

My cinder block garden and the purple potatoes are already planted. I think the weed whacker is coming out of storage this weekend!   I can't believe how big the plants are already! The cool rainy weather hasn't slowed them down at all.

NEW!! FREE MINI VIDEO CLASS
I have posted a NEW, FREE, Mini Video Class on how to quilt a Double Cable Border using the Longarm U Simple Cable template set. The Double Cable is a very traditional design which is almost impossible to quilt without templates. (Trust me, over the years I have tried EVERY method to quilting cables. Templates are the ONLY way I have found to quilt cables!) By using templates, you can get accurate curves and even spacing and your cables look wonderful! Not to mention that your quilts will look AMAZING!
