Over the nearly 20 years I have been longarm quilting, I have tried EVERY way to quilt cables! The ONLY way I have found to create the look of traditional, evenly spaced, parallel curved quilting lines, is with acrylic templates.
Cable Borders add a traditional and elegant look to almost any quilt! But small spaces, such as sashings and inner borders could be difficult to quilt using a cable design.
This was a problem I struggled with for a long time. Then, I had a phone call from my quilting friend. She asked if I had a template for making cables in small, 1-1/2 to 2 inch borders and sashings.
I had to tell her that no, I didn't have anything like that. But ...., the more I got to thinking, the more I thought, Why not?
So after some trial and error and a few prototypes, there is now a SMALL Single Cable Template.
This template makes the Single Cable with the widest part measuring 1 inch wide AND 1½ inches wide.
The photo above shows the two different sizes of the Simple Cable that this template creates and also some variations, including corner options.

This template is made from 1/4 inch thick acrylic and works with ALL brands of quilting machines.

The Small Single Cable Template
The Small Single Template makes TWO different sizes of the Simple Cable Design, 1 inch wide cables and 1-1/2 inch wide cables. The width of the cable is measured across it's widest part.
Each Template is laser cut from 1/4 inch clear acrylic and can be used on ALL quilting individually priced

Longarm University Shipping Policy
When you order any products via our secure web-cart, you will be charged a shipping fee for each item ordered. We will re-calculate the shipping charges to the lowest fee for your order and adjust your final shipping amount.
Example: A package which weighs 2 pounds 5 ounces, will cost about $13 to ship to the East Coast from Seattle, WA. The same package, shipped to California will cost about $8. No matter what shows on your Shopping Cart receipt, when processing your order, we will adjust the cost of postage to the lowest amount possible.
International Orders: Shipping to orders outside of the US will be SIGNIFICANTLY higher and charged accordingly. For International Orders over $100 (USD) Longarm U will pay HALF of the shipping fees.
